Hello Muscles New Coach Application


Ok, so here's the deal...

Unless you've been living under a rock or you're new to the social media world... it's no secret that your newsfeed is probably consumed with "join my team" ads, before/after photos and great testimonials from high-quality products in various network marketing/direct sales companies. Sometimes it gets overwhelming and maybe even a little annoying. I get it! And, I'm totally not bashing those distributors/reps at all! Shoot, being the leader of a successful Team in the Team Beachbody Network, sometimes I even get a little annoyed. Don't get me wrong... I am a HUGE supporter of network marketing myself! I do think it's a fantastic business model. It provides Freedom and flexibility, opportunity for financial successfun/support and opportunities for personal growth! It's especially fantastic for stay-at-home or working mamas like myself! But I also believe it has to be tastefully done. Starting your own business does not have to label you as a "newsfeed spammer," not every team is the same, your decision in selecting a "work-at-home" opportunity should be a thought-out, serious decision, and you should sign with a person who you know will help guide you in the right direction in becoming a success. You should also support a product that you are PASSIONATE about because that's where you're going to find your FIRE! 

When I discovered I could create an income from home doing what I LOVED (helping people through the vehicle of health and fitness all while working on my own fitness/health goals) I let that passion propel me forward! Sure, I had my doubts and reservations... but the awesome part was the option of always having great accountability, personal growth, support and friendship (oh, and a discount!) even if my business "failed."

Of course, now I know that failing is a learning process and true failing is quitting altogether... but we can talk about that some other time!

Summer Strong Support and Accountability Group



The realization that we literally have less than 55 days until Memorial Day weekend is hitting me STRONGLY!!!  That means that you are about to begin to uncover all the bad choices, the late night snacks, the drinks and the holiday goodies you have been eating!  It means that everything you were eating in private will be revealed in public.  It means that unless you want to hide under a rock all summer long you are going to have to face it.

Sure, you can try to avoid it by wearing jeans all summer and refusing to show your legs and covering up your arms with longer sleeves.  But, truthfully you are just going to be a sweaty mess! So why not CONTROL the CONTROLLABLE and start making some healthier changes now!  

I am on a mission to help other super busy, working, moms of young kids to transform their bodies and their nutrition and get on the path to more confidence, improved body image, and of course energy so you can keep up with the demands of a busy life!!!

You can't use the "I AM TOO BUSY" excuse with me!  There are so many workouts that are under 30 minutes now.  The 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme, Insanity Max 30, 22 Minute Hard Corps and Hammer and Chisel.  Plus they all come with super easy portion controlled meal plans that are basically fool proof.  When I started my journey I was doing 30-55 minutes of workouts daily and I had to figure out the nutrition all on my own.  You are going to have much faster success than I did for this very reason!!!  

-I lost 36 lbs with 4 kids at home.

-My husband worked long hours and I was the primary caretaker.

-We didn't have a lot of money to spend on food and exercise programs.


But, I truly wanted to change more than I wanted to stay the same.  I was WILLING to make some short term sacrifices for long term results!  


The other piece of advice that I can give to you is this.  Don't wait until May to start working out.  It is going to take longer than 4 weeks to get the results that you want.  You want to start now!  It takes between 4-6 weeks to really start seeing the fruits of your labors.  Start making 1 small change now so that you can see the compound effect by the time your family vacation, wedding, or other event rolls around.

So what I am going to do for you is this:

As a baseball, basketball, football and dance mom we have a jam packed schedule of after school activities, homework and I still run a full time business.  This momma has to plan her time wisely!  So let me help you! From one mom to another... lets get our butts in gear and crush it!!


We can't use our kids as excuses because we NEED to be good parents and set the example for living a well balanced and healthy lifestyle.  It starts with the example that we lead by!

Starting on the 2nd of May I am launching the #SUMMERSTRONG support and accountability group.  This group will take place on the newest challenge tracker app which you join through me as your coach.  I will match you up with a fitness program and nutrition plan that meets your needs.  We will set realistic and achievable goals and together we will set out to take it 1 day at a time and change your old habits into newer and healthier ones!!!

Vegetable Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms

VEGETABLE STUFFED PORTABELLA MUSHROOMS


INGREDIENTS
  • 4 large portabella mushrooms, wiped with a damp paper towel and stalk trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large sweet onion, diced
  • 2 medium zucchini, diced
  • 1 roasted red pepper, diced
  • 4 – 6 sun dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 – 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • large handful of spinach
  • pinch of dried oregano, crushed between your fingers
  • dash of crushed red pepper flakes
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste


INSTRUCTIONS



Line a sided baking sheet with parchment paper. Rub each mushroom with a bit of olive oil and set them on the sheet, stalk side up.
In a 12 inch sauté pan over medium high heat, add the olive oil then the onions. Sauté for 3 or 4 minutes, then add the zucchini and continue to cook as the zucchini begins to soften. Next add the red pepper and tomatoes. Cook for another few minutes. When the onions have become translucent and soft, add the garlic. Cook for one minute and add the spinach.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Once the spinach wilts, 

Divide the mixture in four; I spread the mixture out evenly in the pan and using my spoon, just slice through like a pie to divide equally. Stuff each mushroom with a quarter of the mixture.

Bake in the oven for about 35 to 40 minutes. Now, top each with about 1 tablespoon of the mozzarella and continue baking for another 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is just beginning to get golden on top.

Skinny Shrimp Scampi

Skinny Shrimp Scampi with Zucchini Noodles

 You will need: 

2 Tbsp olive oil 
1 lbs jumbo shrimp
1 tbsp minced garlic
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
¼ cup white wine
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Zucchini Noodles from 2 med zucchini
Himalayan Salt and White Pepper to taste


 Directions:
Sauté garlic and pepper flakes in the olive oil over medium heat for a minute stirring constantly. Add the shrimp to the pan, stirring occasionally until shrimp is pink. Season the shrimp with Salt and Pepper to taste. Remove from pan with a slotted spoon, leaving the liquid and set aside.




Add the white wine, and lemon juice to the pan, deglaze the pan. Cook the liquid for 2 minutes and then add in the zucchini noodles. Cook for another 2 minutes and then add the shrimp back in.



Season with salt and pepper and enjoy.
