January Health & Fitness Support











Well my friends, I cannot believe that we are winding down 2018 and preparing for the new year! 2018 was full of happenings – between working with new clients to help them reach their health and fitness goals, and continuing my own journey, it has certainly been a busy year!!
I know that January is always the time that people set new fitness goals and I want to be there to help you out! So I am launching a new challenge group in January. I am going to help you with meal planning, motivation, and accountability so that you stick to your goals instead of giving up. 2019 is going to be YOUR year and I want to help you succeed!

Transform Your Life in 2019

This group is going to be focused on the newest Beachbody program called Transform :20. This fast, super-intense fitness program created by Shaun T will transform your body and mind in just 20 minutes a day, 6 days a week. You’ll blast your core, legs, gluten, and upper body with no equipment except for a step! Each workout is different and will be done in real time with the cast so there will be no repeats or do-overs. I've been able to sample a few of the workouts and I can honestly say that I loved them and I think you will too!!
I’ve started my prep group for this program already and my clients have started with the free Transform :20 workout and the prep schedule in our VIP group and they are pumped to start on the 14th of January.  We are using Shaun T’s hybrid calendar to get ready for the start of the program and everyone is rocking it. What Is Transform:20



The only equipment that you need for this program is a step. Shaun T created this 20 minute workout program to shred and tone your entire body. The workouts are 6 days a week, 20 minutes long and each workout focuses on your entire body.


You have 3 high intensity intervals called “transformers” where you track your reps and each week the goal is to beat your last weeks number. Each week you can see your own progress and improvement.

The program has a modifier and I would highly recommend this program to anyone who has a basic level of fitness and is ready to really improve their strength and cardio endurance.

If you are short on time and need an effective and fast workout this also checks that box. Plus the nutrition plan is simple to follow and you can choose between our portion fix or 2B mindset nutritional programs.

What’s included in Transform :20?

  • 2 Prep Workouts – Do these before you begin the program to get an idea of what’s to come!  You can do those in December in my VIP launch group.  We are going to be doing Shaun T’s prep schedule as a group.
  • 36 Unique Workouts – Each day has a different 20 minute workout done in real time with no do-overs or repeats to keep you engaged and motivated.
  • 6 Bonus Routines – These can be done in addition to your regular workouts or on days off.
  • 6 Bonus Weighted Workouts – These full-body workouts utilize dumbbells to take your workout up a notch.  I added the weighted workouts when I did round 2 and it was perfect to up my results.
  • Transformers – Each workout features three 1-minute physical challenges that repeat weekly .  You use the tracking sheet that comes with your kit to write your number of reps for each transformer and the goal is to beat out your number from the week prior.

What Is 2B Mindset?


I have been getting a lot of questions about what this new program called 2B Mindset is all about!  So I am about to drop you all the details on the program, the most commonly asked questions and concerns so that you can decide whether or not this program would be a good fit for you!

What Is 2B Mindset?

2B Mindset is unlike any other Beachbody Product and program ever created before.  Beachbody has always defined itself as being a fitness company that creates world class fitness programs that transform your body along with incredibly well designed nutrition plans to really give you the total body solution to your problems.  Beachbody pairs their fitness and nutrition with an incredible support system that is provided by the networks coaches who walk you through the fitness programs from start to finish to get the results that you want!

Most Commonly Asked Questions.

Can I access 2B Mindset on Beachbody On Demand?  
2B Mindset is on it’s own platform separate from Beachbody On Demand.  It is called our Nutrition Platform.  You will purchase this product and you will have forever access to the resources.
When is 2B Mindset Launching?
2B Mindset launches on May 2nd on the Nutrition tab on Beachbody On Demand. On June 4th 2B Mindset will also launch the Beachbody Nutrition + App.  Anyone who purchases 2B Mindset will have access to stream the program on the nutrition tab of Beachbody ON Demand and also the app.
Can I exercise while doing 2B?
Yes you can exercise but it is not required.  It is considered extra credit.
If you are going to do a program like 80 day obsession you can choose to forgo the 80 day nutrition plan and do the 2B Mindset eating!  Totally up to you!
Can you do 2B Mindset if you are pregnant or nursing?
2B Mindset is a weight loss program. Since pregnant mothers should be gaining weight and not losing weight, it is not advised that they follow 2B Mindset during pregnancy.  For breastfeeding mothers, La Leche League International advises to wait at least two months before making any drastic effort to lose weight in order to allow your body to recover and ensure a steady milk supply. Keep in mind that breastfeeding women may naturally lose one to four pounds per month simply due to the amount of energy required to nurse in the first place.

Black Bean Salad with Red Wine Vinaigrette


Ingredients
    Red Wine Vinaigrette:
  • 2 Tbs red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp raw sugar
  • 2 1/2 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
    Salad:
  • 1 (15 oz) can of black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup frozen edamame, thawed (I didn't have on hand so I made without)
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 cup red, orange or yellow bell pepper, chopped (about 1 medium pepper)
  • 3/4 cup red onion, chopped (Tip! to take some of the bite out of those onions, put them in a bowl of ice water for just a minute or two, then drain).

Instructions
    To make the dressing:
  1. In a small shaker add the vinegar, sugar and the olive oil and shake until the dressing fully comes together and the sugar has dissolved (usually only takes a minute or two).

    Salad:
  1. Add the rest of ingredients into a bowl, pour dressing over top mix together and refrigerate. So easy! You can eat it right away, but the longer it sits, the better it tastes

Zucchini Lasagna with Tofu Ricotta cheese *VEGAN

How to make the delicious, creamy vegan tofu ricotta cheese!
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 (14-ounce) package extra firm tofu
  • 5 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic granules (or powder)
  • 1 teaspoon onion granules (or powder)
  • Plant milk (optional)
  • INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Drain water from tofu and add to food processor with the rest of the ingredients.
    2. Blend until creamy.
    3. If it's too thick, add a little bit of plant milk.

INGREDIENTS For the Lasagna
  • 3 Large zucchini thinly sliced with a mandolin
  • 1 container sliced mushrooms
  • 1 jar Vegan Mariana sauce
  • INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (176 C).
    2. Lay out zucchini slices and sprinkle with salt, leave sit for about 10 minutes, then use paper towel to wipe away the water. *Skipping this step will result in your lasagna becoming soupy
    3. Pour about 1/2 cup marinara sauce into a 9x13-inch (or similar size) baking dish and line with thinly sliced zucchini.
    4. Scoop small spoonfuls amounts of ricotta mixture over the zucchini and gently spread into a thin layer. Spread on a layer of marinara sauce and then top with mushrooms. Continue until all filling, mushrooms and zucchini are used up. The top layer should be zucchini and then sauce. 
    5. Bake covered for 40 minutes, then remove foil and bake for 15 minutes more. The zucchini should be very easily pierced when cut with a knife. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

80 Day Obsession Vegan Meal Plan B









I am so excited to start 80 Day Obsession on Monday with my challengers and coaches.  This program is going to be absolutely epic. If you are someone that works out regularly and you are ready for a new challenge this is going to be right up your alley.  It will challenge you, it will challenge your clean eating and give you the concept of timed nutrition to really up your results.
I have been working with my customers and team over the past few weeks to get ourselves prepped and ready to go for day 1.
The program is actually 97 days long total.  There are 80 workouts and the workouts run Monday through Saturday and Sunday is your rest day.  So that means 80 workouts and then 17 rest days!!!  So if you are a planner like me, then you can figure out when the plan ends.
The nutrition plan is super specific to your body type and the results you would like to get.  Autumn Calabrese who is the creator of the program breaks it down into very specific containers that you consume at each meal and also at a specific time, hence “timed nutrition”.
80 Day Obsession is not for someone that is considered a beginner or someone that is pregnant.  80 Day Obsession is for those that have a base level of fitness and understanding of the portion fix container system.   If you have never done a program before I would suggest joining a challenge group of mine and committing to a fitness program like the 21 Day Fix, Fix Extreme or others to get your baseline level in check.  Then you can graduate into the next 80 day obsession group that I will be running.
You will need the resistance loops, sliders, a mat, and weights for this program.  To participate in my support and accountability groups you will also need to have me as your coach and place your order through me so that I can add you to the accountability group!  If you currently are interested in this program fill out the application at the bottom and I will get back to you with details ASAP.

Let’s Talk About The Meal Plan

The 80 Day Obsession Meal Plan is specific and a tad complex. But if you have patience you can figure it out and like anything new, it will take time but it will become a habit and routine if you stick with it.
Here is a sample of my plan which is plan B because of my weight and goals.  Each person will calculate their bracket based on current weight and desire to lose weight or maintain their weight and tone up.
Then you will simply download your meal plan and create a plan similar to the one you see below.  I highly highly recommend the Beachbody performance line because you are going to be challenging your body and fueling up with the supplements will reduce muscle soreness and decrease your recovery time.

Here is a sample of a day of my plan.  Basically I will eat the same each day but vary the dinners and the snacks.  But this is the containers I will be eating!
